Wynn is the only integrated resort in Macao to receive accolades from the global competition
Macao, November 14, 2025 – The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2025 – renowned as the Oscars of restaurant design – recently revealed that Gourmet Pavilion at Wynn Palace earned a spot among the Global Category Winners during this year's awards ceremony in Dubai, UAE. Widely acknowledged as the foremost global competition in the realm of food and beverage space design, the annual Restaurant & Bar Design Awards honors the most innovative and inspiring dining destinations worldwide, along with the visionaries who bring them to life. Wynn is the only integrated resort in Macao to receive accolades from the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards this year. This recognition is a testament to Wynn's commitment toward raising the bar for design excellence and sets a new benchmark for Macao's hospitality industry.
The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2025 ranked Gourmet Pavilion at Wynn Palace among this year's list of Global Category Winners for Lighting. Naim Maadad, CEO and Founder of Gates Hospitality, a pivotal figure in the UAE Hospitality industry and member of this year's judging panel, praised Gourmet Pavilion as a "stage-like space with extravagance and richness".
Set within Wynn Palace, Gourmet Pavilion is a popular culinary landmark where 18 of Asia's leading culinary brands are assembled in a palatial European-style marketplace. The award-winning design was commissioned by Wynn Design and Development, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wynn Resorts, and created in collaboration with David Collins Studio as well as Lighting Design International. From the magnificent archways to the ornate flooring patterns, the Gourmet Pavilion interiors draw inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of Europe. It is a culmination of global collaborations, where the finest craftsmanship by artisans from around the world is on full display. The ornate mosaic arches, originally handcrafted by a renowned family of Italian artisanal makers, look remarkably like exquisite European oil paintings; the feature chandelier, which blooms above the food hall, is a masterpiece made by Bohemian glassmaking artisans; and "The Allsphyr", a custom mirrored sculpture, was specially designed by an American artist to show things through a distorted lens and create a fun space for photo-taking. More than just a place to dine, Gourmet Pavilion is a must-visit destination where guests can explore a myriad of dishes in vibrant, culturally rich surrounds.
Launched in 2009, the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards is globally acknowledged as the world's most influential design competition for food and beverage spaces, recognizing anything from ultra-luxe fine dining destinations to concept-led fast casual hangouts. Judged by a panel of 40 of the most influential personalities in design, hospitality and lifestyle globally, the 2025 annual edition of the awards attracted 1,100 entries from 61 countries and regions.
