• Porcelain vessel Mountains and Waters Faraway and ceramic painting Clouds on Pine-Speckled Hills by Master Liu Wenbin, leaving viewers a dazzlingly colorful impression by combining the in-glaze technique with the modern Western use of colors
These works not only demonstrate the contemporary innovations of porcelain art from Jingdezhen but also invite visitors to ponder upon the integration between traditional crafts and modern art, taking them on a reflective exploration of cultural origins.
A Dazzling Display of Exquisite Treasures
The Buccleuch Vases, hailed as an epic testament to the fusion of Eastern and Western art from Wynn's collection, adds a new presence at the Palace Reserve Club Gallery. This extraordinary set of Qing Dynasty vases once formed part of the porcelain collection of Elizabeth Montagu, the 3rd Dutchess of Buccleuch. Notable for their impressive form, scale and style, this quartet of vases feature the unique cast and chased ormolu mounts as well as the integration of Buddhist and Daoist symbols, signifying prosperity and longevity.
In addition, the Peace Dove, an inaugural national gift designed by renowned artist Master Chang Shana for the People's Republic of China will continue to be exhibited at the Palace Reserve Club Gallery. This work has been donated to Wynn for permanent collection and is making its overseas debut. Symbolizing peace and friendship, the piece showcases China's confidence on the international stage. Integrating traditional Chinese cultural elements, this work allows visitors to experience the powerful fusion between art and culture.
Wynn cordially invites both residents and tourists to explore these art treasures and experience the infinite charm of Jingdezhen porcelains, while also enjoying nourishment from culture and appreciating the beautiful moments where history and modernity converge in the ocean of art. The special exhibition is now open to the public at the Illuminarium and the Palace Reserve Club Gallery at Wynn Palace. Admission is free of charge.
