Upholding Sustainability Commitments and Actively Supporting the Nation's Dual-Carbon Vision
Macao, July 9, 2026 – Organized by the Environmental Protection Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and co‑organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office, the "Macao Green Hotel Award" presentation ceremony was recently held. Wynn's two properties both received prestigious honors, with Wynn Macau garnering the Gold Award and Wynn Palace the Silver Award. These accolades not only reaffirm the company's outstanding achievements in environmental management and sustainable operations, but also highlight Wynn's commitment, as a major integrated enterprise rooted in Macao. By embedding its core value of "Care about everyone and everything" into its corporate strategy, Wynn brings sustainable practices into its operations and plays a leading role in the industry's green transition.
In 2025, Wynn further strengthened its sustainability goals, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency, governance capabilities, and climate response resilience. This includes actively supporting the Macao SAR Government's long-term decarbonization strategy to achieve a Carbon Peak by 2030 and Near-Zero Emissions by 2050, complementing the national Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality strategy. Guided by this direction, Wynn continues to implement innovative initiatives with a focus on energy conservation and emissions reduction, and has achieved substantial progress. Compared with the 2019 baseline year, energy intensity decreased by 10.6%, while Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emission intensity recorded a remarkable reduction of 35.6%. At the same time, Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace have maintained EarthCheck Silver Certification, underscoring the company's international standards in environmental management systems and sustainable hospitality practices.
Wynn has also advanced responsible sourcing by updating its Sustainability Policy, Supplier Environmental Standards, Sustainable Procurement Policy, and Supplier Code of Conduct, while strengthening supplier review processes and environmental data collection. The company has introduced innovative technologies to improve resource efficiency, such as the Nordaq 2000 automated water refilling system, which helps reduce single‑use plastics and related carbon footprint, and the Winnow Vision AI food waste management system, which provides data analysis to help culinary teams adjust purchasing and menu planning while reducing food waste without compromising quality.
In addition, Wynn has continued to upgrade its chiller and hot water systems, install water‑saving devices, and establish comprehensive monitoring mechanisms to achieve refined management of electricity and water consumption. To promote sustainable mobility, the company has set up electric vehicle charging stations at hotels for guests and introduced electric shuttle bus services, further supporting Macao's development as a sustainable tourism destination and demonstrating Wynn's commitment to low‑carbon lifestyles.
Looking ahead, Wynn will remain committed to responsible operations, deepen community investment and social inclusion, and collaborate with stakeholders to explore innovative pathways. By pursuing excellence in business performance while advancing sustainability, Wynn aims to help build a greener, more prosperous, and shared future for Macao and the nation.
