Release Date: 25 Feb 2026
The Wynn management team officiates colorful dragon and lion dance celebrations

Macao, February 25, 2026 – In celebration of the Year of the Horse, Wynn hosted a series of jubilant celebrations, from traditional dragon and lion dances to the ceremonial lighting of firecrackers at Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace. Wynn also participated in the Parade for the Celebration of the Year of the Horse organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), where it debuted the Wynn 20th Anniversary Celebration Float.

This year's festivities featured a combination of traditional Chinese cultural performances with elements of Wynn's 20th anniversary milestone celebrations. These lively events showcased the rich heritage of Macao and highlighted Wynn's role as a luxury hospitality brand in Macao over the past two decades.

Lion dances usher in the Year of the Horse and celebrate Chinese culture

Both Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace hosted auspicious Chinese New Year dragon and lion dance ceremonies on February 23 (the 7th day of Chinese New Year) and today, February 25 (the 9th day of Chinese New Year). Ms. Linda Chen, President, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited officiated the dragon and lion eye-dotting ceremonies together with the Wynn management team to kick-off the festivities and to convey well wishes for a new year full of prosperity and success.

During the ceremonies, lion dance performers danced to the beat of gongs and drums, and rows of firecrackers were lit up to ward off evil. The lively dragon and lions then weaved their way through major locations throughout both resorts, where they performed stunts to "pluck the lettuce" (a symbol of wealth) and conveyed blessings of good fortune and luck to guests.

This colorful Chinese New Year tradition is held annually in celebration of auspicious new beginnings and is one of the most important cultural performances of the year in Macao, attracting local residents and visitors from around the world.

Wynn reveals 20th Anniversary Celebration Float at the MGTO parade

Wynn also participated in the "Parade for Celebration of the Year of the Horse 2026" organized by MGTO and debuted the Wynn 20th Anniversary Celebration Float in the city's first parade held on February 19 (the 3rd day of Chinese New Year).

The centerpiece of the Wynn 20th Anniversary Celebration Float is a towering golden "20th Anniversary" cake. The cake is adorned with Wynn's iconic carousel floral sculpture, with spirited horses galloping forward – symbolizing Wynn's passion for driving progress alongside the community.

The congratulatory messages on both sides of the float say: "May the Year of the Horse bring Good Fortune" and "Twenty Years of Galloping Glory" to signify prosperity and continued success. Wynn wishes Macao a thriving year head, full of opportunities and renewed glory! Wynn looks forward to participating in the second parade to be held on February 28 (the 12th day of Chinese New Year).
