Established in 1993 by Tucker Seabrook, the Wine List of the Year Awards were introduced to recognize and reward the enormous investment in time, skill and resources that go into developing the best quality wine and beverage lists. In 2012, Rob Hirst, founder of the International Wine List of the Year Awards, and Tommy Lam, founder of the China National Sommelier Competition, launched China's Wine List of the Year Awards in China. This marked the beginning of the Wine List Awards in Greater China. Since its establishment over a decade ago, the awards have not only discovered and recognized many outstanding restaurants and individuals but have also risen to become the authoritative list of the leading players in China's F&B sector and sommelier industry.
