Macao, March 30, 2026 – To thoroughly learn and implement the spirit of the 2026 national “Two Sessions” and help Macao better integrate into the national development landscape while seizing the opportunities presented by the country’s 15th Five-Year Plan, the “Sharing Session for the Spirit of the Fourth Session of the 14th NPC and the Fourth Session of the 14th CPPCC” was held at the Grand Theater of Wynn Palace on the afternoon of March 30. Organized by the Friendship Association of Members of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of Fujian Province in Macao (Friendship Association with strong support from Wynn Macau, Limited, Chinese Culture Development Promotion Association of Macao, Cross-Strait Youth Cultural Exchange Center, Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in Macau, Luso International Banking Ltd., Macao Newland Technology Co., Ltd., and Chong Fok Technical Services (Macau) Ltd., the event saw solemn and avid participation of around 500 guests from all sectors of society.
Mr. Shi Renwei, President of the Friendship Association, said in his speech that the Two Sessions this year set a clear direction for the country’s high-quality development, Hong Kong and Macao’s integration into the national development strategy, and further cooperation between Fujian and Macao. He stated that the Association will uphold its mission, fully leveraging its bridging role to motivate all members to fully understand the spirit of the Two Sessions and work in unison to contribute their utmost efforts to Macao’s long-term prosperity and stability, Fujian’s social development, and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The sharing session featured Mr. Lao Ngai Leong, Head of the Macao delegation to the NPC; Mr. Zhang Zong Zhen, member of the CPPCC Standing Committee; Mr. Si Ka Lon and Ms. Chan Hong, Deputies to the NPC; and Mr. Ng Si Fong, Member of the CPPCC National Committee as keynote speakers. Mr. Ruan Shiwei, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Fujian Provincial Committee also attended the event and delivered a speech.
At the event, the keynote speakers drew on their own experiences to give a comprehensive overview of the Two Sessions this year. They systematically explained the key policies and development plans related to the country’s high-quality development, protection of livelihoods, and the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. They also shared their insights and intellectual suggestions from their respective roles. The practical, precise, and targeted sharing further deepened participants’ understanding of the country’s overall developmental landscape and the growth opportunities for Macao.
Vice Chairman Mr. Ruan Shiwei highlighted that Macao should regard the study and implementation of the spirit of the “Two Sessions” as a crucial political mission. In close alignment with the national strategy, Macao should leverage its bridging advantage and intensify exchange and cooperation with the mainland for resource sharing and complementary development. This will not only contribute practically to national development but also support Macao’s long-term prosperity and stability, allowing Macao and the mainland to write a new chapter of high-quality development together.
At the end of the event, Ms. Linda Chen, President, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited and Macao member of the Jiangxi CPPCC Standing Committee, presented a Portuguese-style Flying Dragon Plate to the keynote speakers in appreciation of the informative and inspiring content they had shared. The souvenir was designed by the Wynn team and crafted by artisans from Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province.
The sharing session for the spirit of “Two Sessions” attracted eager participation from over 200 members of the associations and other guests, as well as over 300 Wynn team members from various departments. Simultaneous interpretation was provided in English so that non-Chinese speakers could also accurately understand the “Two Sessions” spirit.
The event was also live broadcast throughout the Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace employee dining rooms and replayed in the back-of-house areas to convey the spirit of the Two Sessions to nearly 12,000 team members, further promoting the core values of patriotism for China and Macao. Wynn has hosted similar sharing sessions for several consecutive years in a bid to continually deepen team members’ understanding of national strategic directions. With positive responses received from team members across different departments, the sharing sessions have demonstrated Wynn’s culture characterized by corporate unity and community care and have fully reflected the steadfast mission of integrating into national development embraced by Wynn as an international enterprise based in Macao.
