Sustainably chic Chinese New Year cake packaging inspired by "Ni Shang Tian Ma"
In celebration of the grace and majesty of the horse, Wynn is proud to present this year's Chinese New Year cakes in exquisitely crafted handbags inspired by "Ni Shang Tian Ma" – a vibrant art piece created by prominent Chinese artist and scholar of Dunhuang art – Master Chang Shana. "Ni Shang Tian Ma" design is inspired by the "Wan Che Tian Ma" mural inside Dunhuang Mogao Cave 257. The motif on each handbag beautifully captures the detailed craftsmanship of ancient mural carvings from the caves in a contemporary way. Adorned in a rainbow of color, the horse gallops gracefully above the clouds as a symbol of vitality and to convey blessings of good fortune, soaring success and a bright future. The design represents a beautiful blend of Oriental aesthetics and the timeless craftsmanship of China's rich intangible cultural heritage. More than a festive accessory, each signature red handbag is designed for repeated use, reflecting Wynn's long-standing commitment to sustainable development.
Wynn's award-winning master chefs are also preparing four varieties of festive Chinese New Year Cakes made with only the highest quality of ingredients. Thoughtfully prepared to cater for everyone's palate, guests may choose from the savory Turnip Cake and Taro Cake or the sweet Coconut Cake and Water Chestnut Cake. To purchase the cakes for friends and family, guests are welcome to visit Wing Lei at Wynn Macau or Sweets at Wynn Palace.
