Supporting the International Development of Macao’s Audiovisual Industry

Macao, April 17, 2026 – The inaugural Macao International Audio-Visual Festival (MIAVF), under the patronage of the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA) and relevant authorities of the Macao SAR Government, will be held at Wynn Macau from June 1 to 3, 2026. As a strategic partner of the event, Wynn joined the delegation at the MIAVF launch ceremony held by the Macau Internet Audiovisual Association at the main forum of the 13th China Internet Audio & Video Convention on Apr 15. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Wynn Macau will fully leverage the strengths of the “Wynn Culture” brand and its advantages as an integrated resort to fully support the inaugural MIAVF. In close alignment with the country’s 15th Five-Year Plan, the company will support the global reach of Chinese culture by further integrating culture with technology, and empower economic and social development through cultural initiatives. In doing so, Wynn aims to share Macao’s unique cultural charm with the world, drive the high-quality growth of the city’s Internet audio-visual industry, and give new momentum to the city’s integration into national development.

Under the patronage of the Department of Network Audio-visual Program Management and the Department of International Cooperation of the NRTA, the Department of Publicity and Cultural and Sports Affairs of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, and the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), the MIAVF will be jointly organized by the China Netcasting Services Association (CNSA), the Macau Internet Audiovisual Association, the Federation of Associations of Cultural Sectors of Macau, Macau Cultural Promotion Association, and Nam Kwong Culture and Creativity Industry Co., Ltd., with support from the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) of the Macao SAR. Based on its core positioning of “extensive themes, professional excellence, and international reach,” the festival will feature a diversity of program highlights, including an Internet audio-visual works showcase, an Internet influencers award ceremony, an international microdrama gala, short video creation activities, professional industry forums, and business matching and promotion sessions. The festival aims to present an industry exchange event that is both professional and international, fostering deep synergy between China's Internet audio-visual industry and its global counterparts.

The launch ceremony featured the screening of the Macao promotional video provided by the Macao Government Tourism Office. Ms. Leong Wai Man, President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macao, delivered a video speech to invite internet audiovisual professionals, operators and media friends worldwide to the city. This signature event of Macao was unveiled under the witness of Mr. Nie Chenxi, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the Deputy Director of its Committee on Culture, Historical Data and Studies, and the President of CNSA; and Mr. He Biao, Deputy Director and Party Leadership Group member of the NRTA. The officiating guests included: Mr. Luo Jianhui, Vice President of the CNSA; Mr. Yin Rutao, Deputy Director of the Department of Publicity and Cultural and Sports Affairs and First-level Inspector of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR; Mr. Qu Jiamao, Head of the CCTV Macao Reporter Station of NRTA; Mr. Han Xiaopeng, Deputy Director of the NRTA Information & Network Center and Secretary-general of the CNSA; Mr. Li Sixun, Head of the IPIM Chengdu Representative Office; Ms. Pan Qiuting, Secretary-general of the Macau Internet Audiovisual Association; Ms. Zoe Zou, Chief Marketing Officer of Resort Marketing of Wynn Macau, Limited, the strategic partner of the MIAVF; Mr. Jacky Ho, Production Manager and Mainland Affairs Director of Macau Cable TV; Ms. Chen Ying, General Manager of Smart Operations of China Telecom (Macau) Limited; and Mr. Wang Di, representative of the MIAVF Organizing Committee.

The hosting of the inaugural MIAVF at Wynn Macau will fully integrate Macao’s unique advantage as the “One Center, One Platform, and One Base” with the emerging digital culture industry. Wynn will continue to uphold its commitment to supporting local cultural and MICE industry development and contribute to the moderate economic diversification of Macao.
