Promoting appreciation of the action blockbuster and building an exchange platform for film professionals
Macao, August 24, 2025 – To facilitate the exchange and networking of filmmakers and enhance the professional standards of the industry and industrial practitioners in Macao, Wynn hosted the "Macao-Exclusive Stellar Screening of The Shadow's Edge" at Wynn Palace Grand Theater today (August 24). The screening was attended by nearly 300 people, including members of the Filmmakers Committee of the Federation of Associations of Cultural Sectors of Macau, local film and television industry professionals, teenagers, community association representatives, and Wynn team members, who gathered together to enjoy the impressive production and riveting plots of the action blockbuster of the year.
The mainland crime action movie The Shadow's Edge was largely filmed at Wynn Resorts Macau. Starring Jackie Chan and Zhang Zifeng in the leading roles, with a surprise appearance by Tony Leung and a high-profile cast including Ci Sha, the movie has achieved box office success and garnered significant attention since its release and is hailed as Jackie Chan's best-scored action movie over the past decade. Wynn especially hosted the "Macao-Exclusive Stellar Screening of The Shadow's Edge" to allow Macao industry professionals and audiences to take a sneak peek of the movie. Wynn also extended special invitations to key members of the cast and crew, including Jackie Chan as a lead actor; Tony Leung in a surprise appearance; actors Wen Junhui and Zhou Zhengjie; screenwriter and director Larry Yang; cinematographer Qian Tiantian; action director Su Hang; and supervising editor Zhang Yibo, all of whom attended the event in person to share the filming process and behind-the-scenes stories with the audiences and demonstrate some of the movie's breathtaking action scenes at the screening.
Furthermore, the Filmmakers Committee of the Federation of Associations of Cultural Sectors of Macau specially organized a number of industry representatives to the event to enjoy the movie and engage in exchanges, including local movie and television directors such as Wong Teng Teng, Emily Chan and Chen Shangshi; movie distributor Liu Changmei; movie producer Pan Qiuting; movie producer Loi Man Keong, the Director-General of the Federation of Associations of Cultural Sectors of Macau and Director and President of Macau Lotus TV, Li Zi Song; the Vice Director-General of the Federation of Associations of Cultural Sectors of Macau, President of the Macao Media Advancement Association and Council Member of the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), Su Hsiang Mei; the Vice Director-General and Filmmakers Committee Director of the Federation of Associations of Cultural Sectors of Macau and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of MUST, Chiang Siu Ling; Advisor to the Federation of Associations of Cultural Sectors of Macau, Choi On On; Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of MUST, Dr. Zhang Zhiqing. Among other guests who attended the screening were MUST faculty and student representatives, local teenagers and students.
