200 Wynn Employees sign up for new "WE" volunteer program
Macau, August 31, 2010 – Wynn Macau hosted a Wynn Employee ("WE") Volunteer Inauguration Ceremony today to thank nearly 200 Wynn Employees for volunteering to become new WE volunteers. Wynn Macau President Mr. Ian Michael Coughlan presented a certificate of appreciation for dedicating their time and for taking part in the new WE volunteer program.
Each WE volunteer pledges to: "Care for those in need; to be Compassionate and to be Cheerful". In the near future, WE volunteers will partner with local volunteer organizations to give back to society and make a difference in peoples' lives by participating in events and visitations.
Wynn Macau hopes this volunteer program will encourage more employees to get involved and to use their free time in a valuable way. By giving back generously with one's time, volunteers are making positive contributions to society. The WE Volunteer program has already attracted employees from a variety of different departments including: Food & Beverage, Hotel Catering & Sales, Casino, Housekeeping, Marketing, Human Resources and the Executive team.
The WE Volunteers' first event was in partnership with The Youth Volunteers Association of Macao (AJVM). Together, they played games and worked on arts and crafts with the mentally challenged at the Associacao dos Familiares Encarregados dos Deficientes Mentais de Macau. The WE Volunteer group will soon participate in more activities with the Macau community, giving each employee an opportunity to spend their free time in an even more meaningful way.
