Macau, June 23, 2015 – Wynn Macau’s signature Chinese restaurant Wing Lei has been awarded the “Top Restaurant in Macau” accolade at the recent 2015 Hurun Presidential Awards ceremony held in Shanghai. Wing Lei was the only restaurant in Macau recognized in the category.
“The award is a tribute to the ongoing commitment made by Wynn Macau team members to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests,” said Ian Michael Coughlan, President of Wynn Macau. “It recognizes our service and quality excellence in the China market.”
In addition to the most recent accolade, Wing Lei is also a Michelin-starred and Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star restaurant. Under the helm of Executive Chef Chan Tak Kwong, Wing Lei upholds the finest traditions of Cantonese cooking, offering classic dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients. Having been with the restaurant since it first opened in 2006, Chef Chan consistently presents each dish with exceptional flair and innovation.
Wing Lei is also featuring a fresh new look for guests. Its refreshed design is inspired by the color palette of Vincent Van Gogh’s painting Sunflowers, a vibrant mixture of yellows with touches of flame coral in a sea of creamy textures that glow with color and light. Elements of sparkle enhance the effect, offering guests an uplifting and stimulating space in which to savor Wing Lei’s Michelin-starred dishes.
At the ceremony, Encore suites were also being awarded “Top Executive Suite in Macau”, making Wynn Macau the only hotel in Macau receiving two Hurun Presidential awards.
