Gathering the Strengths of Six Cities to Promote Culinary Cultural Exchange and Sustainable Development

Macao, December 8, 2025 – “The Cities of Gastronomy (China) in Macao 2025 – China Culinary Development Exchange Forum,” organized by the Shunde Federation & Commercial Union Association of Macao and presented by Wynn, was successfully held at the Meeting Room of Wynn Macau on December 4. The event aims to build an exchange and cooperation platform for the catering industry and promote the transmission and innovation of culinary cultures. As the special sponsor of the event, Wynn was honored to have Mr. Guilherme Martins, Director of Sustainability of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, to serve as a keynote speaker and held in-depth discussions with industry representatives from six Cities of Gastronomy—Chengdu, Shunde, Yangzhou, Huai’an, Chaozhou, and Macao—to jointly explore pathways to catering sustainability.

During the forum, Mr. Guilherme Martins delivered a keynote speech on “circular economy and culinary innovation,” providing insights into how “closed-loop culinary innovation” can drive the green transformation of the catering industry. He also shared with representatives from the six cities several practical initiatives implemented by Wynn in its catering operations, including digital ingredient planning, smart inventory management, application of artificial intelligence, and integration of the circular economy approach, and demonstrated the tangible outcomes achieved by the company in enhancing operational efficiency and facilitating environmental protection.

On the same night, “The Cities of Gastronomy (China) in Macao 2025 – Renowned Chefs Showcase: Culinary Exchange Dinner” was held at the Grand Ballroom of Wynn Macau. Acclaimed chefs from the six Cities of Gastronomy collaborated to create signature dishes with distinctive local flavors, offering guests a feast with visual and culinary appeal. Mr. Raymond Vong, Masterchef Consultant of Macanese Cuisine of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, accepted a certificate of appreciation on behalf of Wynn, which was a token of the company’s ongoing commitment to promoting culinary cultural exchange.

Chairman of the event’s organizing committee, Mr. Ip Sio Man, delivered a speech during the exchange dinner, expressing gratitude to the Macao Government Tourism Office and Wynn for their full support and guidance, and to the participating enterprises and renowned chefs from the six cities for their active cooperation, which ensured the success of the event series. He highlighted that the chefs presented a feast that seamlessly blended visual and culinary delights by crafting distinctive local specialties with exquisite culinary skills.

Since 2018, Wynn has consistently supported “The Cities of Gastronomy (China) in Macao” event series, which effectively facilitated interaction and collaboration among the six Cities of Gastronomy by gathering acclaimed chefs and industry elites. As a major player in Macao’s tourism and catering industries, Wynn will continue to leverage Macao’s unique advantage as a city where East meets West to promote the transmission, innovation, and international exchange of the cultures of “Cities of Gastronomy.” By deepening the integrated development of “tourism + gastronomy,” Wynn will continue to enrich the cultural and tourism landscape of Macao and further cement its international status as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.
