LAS VEGAS (Oct 1, 2026) – Wynn Las Vegas will unveil Cliff House on Friday, Oct. 2. Set above the 18th green of Wynn Golf Club, Cliff House expands a core amenity of the resort, serving as the primary destination for golfers with corresponding spaces that include a new pro shop, locker rooms, a player's lounge, and rooftop tee. Also part of Cliff House is a new signature dining concept, Wynn's Cliff House Grill, featuring a picturesque dining room and terrace overlooking the course's waterfall, mature trees, and desert landscape.
Cliff House's design takes inspiration from the history of the land it occupies. Prior to the opening of Wynn Las Vegas, the Desert Inn and its golf course helped define the north end of The Las Vegas Strip – with midcentury residences once occupying space near the course. Global architecture and engineering firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) worked with Wynn Design & Development to design Cliff House.
The clubhouse is organized across two levels, and the palette draws from the tones and textures of the surrounding landscape: reddish earth, warm wood, and neutral stone. Travertine anchors the interiors, while wood and metal accents add depth and variation. A continuous wood ceiling, crafted from reclaimed hardwood with a naturally rich tone, extends across interior and exterior spaces, reinforcing the building's strong horizontal expression and creating continuity between the clubhouse and the course. A defining feature of the project is the relocation of the pro tee to the roof of the clubhouse, creating a rare rooftop tee-off experience that extends the landscape vertically into the architecture.
"With Cliff House, we saw an opportunity to carry the history of this remarkable site forward while paying homage to the past," said Todd-Avery Lenahan, President and Chief Creative Officer of Wynn Design & Development. "The architecture draws from the midcentury legacy of the Desert Inn, while every detail – including the historic photography and landscape – was considered to create something that feels timeless while also contributing to Wynn's evolving story."
"We saw an opportunity to make the architecture part of the golf course – not an object set apart from it," said Colin Koop, Design Partner at SOM. "The building is deliberately restrained and horizontal, allowing the landscape to lead. The rooftop tee makes that idea tangible, turning the building itself into part of the course."
The restaurant inside Cliff House, Wynn's Cliff House Grill, is led by Executive Chef Patricia Gamez and offers American clubhouse classics during breakfast and lunch, along with afternoon bites and sunset cocktails for resort guests, locals, and golfers alike. Breakfast selections include the Sticky Toffee Pancakes, topped with gooey toffee sauce, crème fraîche, and smoked sea salt, along with the Beef Birria Breakfast Burrito with eggs, black beans, crushed avocado, consomme, and sour cream. Daytime dishes include the Chopped "Pitching Wedge" Salad with baby gem lettuce, blue cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes, as well as the Marinated Grilled Steak "Sando" featuring American Wagyu and tomato chimichurri.
As the day progresses, the menu shifts toward shareable plates suited to leisurely afternoons overlooking the course. Highlights include the Bigeye Tuna Aguachile with tangerine, avocado, and hints of habanero, and the Queso Blanco Nachos featuring beef birria, fire-roasted salsa, and charred jalapeño queso. The menu also features classics such as Crispy Chicken Tenders with yuzu kosho honey and herbed ranch and "Golf Tee House" Prime Rib Sliders with charred red onions, raclette cheese, and horseradish sauce. Gamez brings a thoughtful approach to clubhouse dining built around comfort and flavor. She previously served as Executive Chef of Jardin at Wynn Las Vegas and has also held positions at Girl & the Goat in Los Angeles, Restaurant Gary Danko and Lazy Bear in San Francisco, and Pali Wine Co. in Santa Monica.
"The setting inspired us to reimagine classic clubhouse fare in a way that feels both familiar and distinctly Wynn," said Executive Chef Patricia Gamez. "Every dish is rooted in comfort and approachability, but elevated through thoughtful technique and quality ingredients. Whether guests are enjoying breakfast before a round or lunch overlooking the course, the menu is designed to feel welcoming, satisfying, and memorable."
The beverage program, led by Wynn Las Vegas' Master Mixologist Mariena Mercer Boarini, puts a playful spin on clubhouse classics with cocktails inspired by the setting and traditions of the game. Signature selections include the Blonde Transfusion, a bright variation on the golf course staple; the 19th Hole, an Old Fashioned made with WhistlePig "Cliffhouse Signature Barrel" Rye Whiskey and chai-cardamom spices; and On the Green, a desert take on Ranch Water with tequila, cucumber, yuzu, and lime. The cocktail menu is complemented by spirit-free selections and a wine program spanning Champagne, Burgundy, Napa Valley, Bordeaux, and Italy, with select pours available through Coravin.
